Location and Directions
You will find the joint campus of the Heinrich-Heine-Universität Düsseldorf (HHU) and the Universitätsklinikums (UKD) in the south of Düsseldorfe, about 3,5 km (2 miles) from the city center and the main station. The group for theory and simulation of complex systems is located at the most southern part of campus. Building: 25.43.

Arrive by Public Transport
In order to find the theory and simulation of complex systems group at the Heinrich-Heine-Universität Düsseldorf, please use the bus stop Universität-Süd, or the tram/subway stop Universität-Ost/Botanischer Garten. Below you will find links to the schedule. Especially convinient is the use of the Rheinbahn-App (The Rheinbahn is the provider for public transport in this area). In this app you can enter any building on campus. The app will find the appropriate stop and gives you directions from the stop to the desired building.
From Düsseldorf Airport
From the Düsseldorf Airport Terminal (S) stop, take the S11 to Düsseldorf Central Station (Hauptbahnhof). Alternatively, the stop D-Flughafen Bf can be reached by SkyTrain. From there, the S1 and the regional trains RE3, RE6, RE19 travel to Düsseldorf Central Station on platform 6. From platform 4, RE1 and RE5 also travel to the central station.
From Düsseldorf Central Station (Hauptbahnhof):
From the central station, take the U79 from underground platform 2 (access via stairs in the station building) to “Universität Ost/Botanischer Garten” (terminal stop). From there you can reach our offices on foot. Follow the route shown in the figure to the marked entrance. From the entrance straight ahead, you first go through a first staircase, then a second staircase follows after a few doors. From here, the building section 25.43.02 is on the 2nd floor, the door to the working group is marked with a sign
Arrive by Car
The address of the entire Heinrich Heine University is Universitätsstraße 1. You can enter this address into your navigation system to get to Universitätsstraße, which runs through the campus. Here you are looking for the entrance to parking lot P2, which is marked by signs on Universitätsstraße. Building 25.43 is located directly next to parking lot P2.
Google Maps also allows you to enter "Parkplatz HHU P2" directly as your navigation destination.
From the East
From the east, the university can be reached from the Hildener Kreuz (A 3 / A 46) via the A 46. Leave the A 46 in the tunnel (exit Zentrum / Universität). At the first set of traffic lights, you will come to Universitätsstraße, which runs through the campus. There, look for parking lot P2, which is marked by signs. Building 25.43 is located directly next to parking lot P2.
From the West
From the west, the A 46 and the A 57 meet at the Neuss-Süd interchange. Follow the A46 in the direction of Düsseldorf. After the Rhine bridge (Fleher Brücke) take the exit Bilk / Zentrum / Hafen / Benrath. Then follow the right exit to the right (Benrath / Universität) to Universitätsstraße. There, look for parking lot P2, which is marked by signs. Building 25.43 is located directly next to parking lot P2.
